Let's Make 2019 Amazing Together!

Welcome to my new blog!

I've had the goal to start this blog for several months now. One morning I sat and talked with my husband for several hours and by the end of our conversation I decided that by the new year, I would have a blog. And I didn't want it to be just any blog, I wanted it to be a place where everyone in the cookie industry could come together and support one another.

I often talk on Instagram how I love supporting others, and I wanted to tie in that idea here on my blog as well. I want a place where all cookiers can come for advice, tutorials, interviews from top cookiers, awesome ideas, support, and more!

I want to get away from the word competition and move towards support, help, collaboration and community. Since I started my business almost 4 years ago, I have noticed quite a few things. I have noticed how very real cliques are, I have noticed that if someone thinks your designs are too similar to theirs, they will block you, I have noticed a real division in the cookie cutter as well as the cookier industry and I have noticed that there's more of all that than there is community and support.

So. Starting in January of 2019 (next week, whaaat?!) I will be doing my very best at offering a space where I strive to bring everyone together as one community. This community will share advice and tutorials from the best of the best, it will share interviews from cookiers from every stage - professional to beginner, I hope to have awesome ideas, tips and tricks and I hope to share as much support as possible to all of you! Whether you're new to decorating cookies or you're a pro.

So, friends. I hope you'll join me. 2019 is already looking to be pretty darn fantastic, dontcha think?
